Bo joined Field School in 2023 after 19 years at St. Anne’s-Belfield School in Charlottesville, where he served as chemistry teacher, director of admissions, and head coach of the boys’ lacrosse team. Previously, he taught at two all-boys schools in New Jersey and Massachusetts. Perriello is a graduate of Notre Dame.

Phil is a Charlottesville native who has worked at St. Anne’s-Belfield for 21 years, 19 of those alongside Bo Perriello. There, he has served as Dean of Student Life and Director of Diversity, Director of Community Engagement, as well as the highly successful Varsity Girls’ Basketball Head Coach. Throughout his career, Phil has been lauded for his deep engagement with students and their families as a coach and mentor, as well as being a bridge-builder forging more diverse communities. He was also named the 2022-23 Central Virginia Girls’ Basketball Coach of the Year and received his 400th career victory in the state semifinals in March. Phil was a standout student-athlete at Virginia Commonwealth University, is a member of VCU’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and was drafted by the New York Knicks. As a student in Charlottesville, he attended Burnley-Moran Elementary, Walker Middle, and Charlottesville High schools.

Tracy is the Director of External Affairs and Administration. She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science. She joined Field School as a parent in 2010 and came to work at the school in 2011. She and her husband Mike have three children; their boys both graduated from Field School. Prior to joining the school, she worked in a variety of fields: political campaigning and fundraising, hotel sales and marketing, and as a federal investigator. She also spent a great deal of time doing volunteer work as she and her family moved around the globe with her husband’s Naval career. They enjoyed tours in Hawaii, San Diego, Japan, Italy, and Spain. Crozet, VA is now their home.

Adie is our Business Manager. She has a B.A. in Art History and Classical Studies from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. Adie has a background in Montessori education both in the classroom and as an administrator. Before coming to Field School in 2015, she served as Assistant Director at University Montessori School for five years. She has lived in Charlottesville since 1995 and has two children with her husband Damon.

Tanner is the Latin teacher for 5th and 6th grades. This is his first year teaching, as well as his first year being at Field School. Having graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Arts in Classics, and playing college football for five years as a middle linebacker, he is excited to share what he has learned with the boys! Tanner focuses on Latin syntax, grammar, and vocabulary, as well as building study skills for the boys’ continued path in school. Tanner coaches JV soccer, JV basketball, and he is the head flag football coach.
Patrick Critzer

Chef Critzer has run the food program at Field School for 14 years. He brings a background ranging from fine dining to street food. When he’s not cooking, you can find him playing soccer, DJing a dance party, or traveling the world.

Marynn Dause serves as a professional development coach and education researcher for Field School. She graduated with her B.A. and M.A.Ed. from the College of William and Mary. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and a doctoral candidate in the University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development. Marynn is married to the wonderful Stephen Dause. They have three children and two pets. On the weekends, Marynn enjoys gardening, dancing, reading, crafting, and sipping espresso.

Stewart teaches 5th grade math, 6th grade science, and 8th grade algebra. Stewart earned his BS in Computer Science from Brown University in 2025, graduating magna cum laude. At Brown, he was also worked as a teaching assistant for several computer science classes. Stewart is from the Charlottesville area and an alumni of St. Anne’s-Belfield School. During the summers Stewart loves working as a counselor at Field Camp where he has attended since childhood! When not teaching, Stewart enjoys movies, hiking, and tennis.

Kevin teaches 5th-grade science and serves as the assistant mountain bike coach and the head baseball coach. Kevin earned his BA in History from the Virginia Military Institute in 1991 and served as an armor officer in the US Marine Corps. He and his wife moved to the Charlottesville area in 1996 and raised four daughters in the Albemarle community. As a stay-at-home parent for many years, he worked part-time, coached youth sports and pursued volunteer opportunities. In his free time, Kevin enjoys relaxing with family, hiking, camping, board gaming and completing house/yard projects.

Drake teaches 5th and 6th English. He and his wife just moved back to Virginia after 12 years in the Atlanta Metro Area. He is a graduate of James Madison University (Go Dukes!). Before Field, he taught 4th grade language arts and social studies. He also coached middle school cross country. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, trail running, birding, gardening, and spending time in the mountains.

Reeves teaches 5th grade science, 5th grade math, and Topics of Algebra at the Field school. He the assistant basketball coach and the head lacrosse coach. Reeves graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a bachelor of the arts in 2021. During his time at Randolph-Macon he played on and managed the men’s lacrosse team. Prior to joining the Field school in 2023, he was a substitute teacher for St. Anne’s-Belfield School and the Covenant School.

Esther was born and raised in Venezuela, South America. In 1994, she participated in a teaching exchange program that brought her to North Carolina, where she taught Spanish in two K-5 public elementary schools for three years. In 1997, Esther relocated to Charlottesville, where she continued her teaching journey at Tandem Friends School and Mountaintop Montessori School. For the past 18 years, she has taught Spanish to middle and high school students at St. Anne’s-Belfield School. Esther is passionate about sharing her culture and her mother tongue with her students and is excited to join the Field School community this year.
In her free time, Esther enjoys learning French and exploring its culture, reading, listening to music, and walking. She also loves to visit the mountains and the beach whenever possible.

Maureen has been teaching and coaching for 18 years, nine of them at Field School teaching science and Latin. Currently, Maureen teaches 7th and 8th grade science, is the student government advisor, coaches swimming and running, and is the Student Activities Coordinator. Maureen is married to the head of school, Bo Perriello, and they have four children and two dogs. When Maureen is not teaching, she enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and most of all, being with her family.

Lulu teaches 5th and 6th grade history. She is a “Double Hoo” -- receiving her BA in French and English Literature in addition to her MAT from UVA. Lulu has been coaching swimming for several years at Fry's Spring Beach club, and is excited to coach both swimming and mountain biking at Field School. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, playing basketball, doing yoga, and spending time with her cat.

Jen Buckett is in her 10th non-consecutive year of teaching at Field School. She graduated from William and Mary with a BA in English and earned her Masters in Teaching at UVA. Jen has spent time teaching overseas in China and also worked in early childhood education for several years before returning to Field. She lives with her two children and husband in Crozet, where you’ll often find her cozying up with a book, cheering at a baseball game, or geocaching on the trails!

Cody teaches 7th and 8th grade history. Cody has nine years of teaching experience and joined Field School in fall 2023. In addition to teaching, Cody has coached basketball for nine years and lacrosse for five years. Cody earned his BA in History from the Virginia Military Institute in 2015 and MA in Educational Leadership from George Mason University in 2021. Cody is a Western Albemarle High School alumni and volunteers with the Crozet Fire Department.

Alice has been teaching mathematics at Field School since 2019 and has served as the MATHCOUNTS coach. Her official teaching career includes five prior years of experience in Stafford and Albemarle counties, teaching middle school math, science, and computer applications. She has also tutored and taught homeschool mathematics regularly over the last 20 years. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan, concentrating in Science and Mathematics, and later received her MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Virginia. In Alice’s free time, she volunteers with the Charlottesville Babe Ruth League as the Information Officer to assist with providing recreational baseball opportunities to all interested 13- to 18-year-olds in the Charlottesville community. Her interests include archery, photography, watching sports, camping, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her two sons (both Field School attendees).
